MetaVis Technologies to Present on SharePoint 2010 Migration Strategies at Upcoming SharePoint Saturday Events
CTO Mark Klinchin Offers Tips on How to Reorganize Your SharePoint Environment as You Upgrade to 2010
Philadelphia, PA—April 28, 2010 — MetaVis Technologies, Inc., the leaders in SharePoint 2010 migration, today announced that SharePoint expert and MetaVis CTO, Mark Klinchin, will present at the following SharePoint Saturday events in Houston on May 1, Philadelphia on May 8, and Washington DC on May 15. The session titled “2007 to 2010 SharePoint Migration – Don’t Upgrade Your SharePoint Mess!” will provide best practices on reorganizing SharePoint content as companies upgrade/migrate in order to maximize the full benefits of SharePoint 2010.
“SharePoint 2010 offers the perfect opportunity for organizations to take back control of their SharePoint environment by making 2010 sites more easily documented and content searchable. By reorganizing as you upgrade, companies can design their environment using metadata and taxonomy structures and reclassify content as they migrate. This session showcases how companies can reorganize as part of a SharePoint 2010 migration strategy and the tools available,” said Klinchin.
Klinchin has over 15 years of experience designing products for the content management market. As CTO, he directs the technological vision and product development for the MetaVis Architect Suite, a complete set of tools for designing, deploying, migrating, classifying and managing SharePoint 2010, 2007 and 2003 content. Previously, Klinchin was chief product architect at Vital Path where he designed, launched and managed development of PathBuilder, the largest independent integration server in content management area. During his tenure with Stelex, he designed and managed development of several company software products including ComplianceBuilder, databases and process control applications and VioMeeting.com.
During the SharePoint Saturday events, MetaVis representatives will be available to discuss the MetaVis Architect Suite and its metadata and taxonomy software. MetaVis will also be giving away a free SharePoint 2010 Site poster to help users better visualize and design taxonomy structures in SharePoint.
